Shraddha to play a prostitute in an upcoming family drama

Actress Shraddha Das, who’s been trending on social media thanks to her bikini pictures from her recent vacation to Bali, will soon be doing a full-fledged Telugu film after three years. We have learnt that the actress will be playing the role of a prostitute in choreographer-turned-director Vidyasagar’s upcoming family drama.
“Shraddha plays Jagapati Babu’s love interest in the film. Jagapati Babu plays an industrialist who heads a huge company that manufactures condoms. He hires prostitutes to feature in all the commercials for his products, which is when he meets Shraddha, and the duo gradually fall in love,” reveals a source.

The film, that is set to go on floors on Sunday, is a family drama set in an urban backdrop. “Shraddha will be seen in the flashback portions of the film. Her character is vital to the plot and is instrumental in a key twist that takes place. Although, she plays a prostitute, she will be portrayed as an emotional girl and will be shown donning Indian attire,” shares the source. Shraddha’s last Telugu film was PSV Garuda Vega in 2017. She was since seen in a cameo role in the Karthikeya-starrer Hippi last year. “Shraddha wasn’t happy with the kind of offers that were coming her way in Telugu cinema and hence, she took up offers in Bengali and Kannada cinema. She has been waiting for something substantial to come her way in Tollywood, which has finally arrived,” adds the source.
